\nOrganized Cover-up\u201d, \u201cA White-Washed Farce\u201d<\/p>\n

January 14, 2008 \u2013 Twenty-five former U.S. military officers have severely criticized the official
\naccount of 9\/11 and called for a new investigation. They include former commander of U.S. Army
\nIntelligence, Major General Albert Stubblebine, former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, Col.
\nRonald D. Ray, two former staff members of the Director of the National Security Agency; Lt. Col.
\nKaren Kwiatkowski, PhD, and Major John M. Newman, PhD, and many others. They are among
\nthe rapidly growing number of military and intelligence service veterans, scientists, engineers, and
\narchitects challenging the government\u2019s story. The officers\u2019 statements appear below, listed
\nalphabetically.<\/p>\n

Lt. Col. Robert Bowman, PhD<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of these pieces of information, taken together, prove that the
\nofficial story, the official conspiracy theory of 9\/11 is a bunch of
\nhogwash. It\u2019s impossible,\u201d said Lt. Col. Robert Bowman, PhD, U.S.
\nAir Force (ret). [1] With doctoral degrees in Aeronautics and Nuclear
\nEngineering, Col. Bowman served as Director of Advanced Space
\nPrograms Development under Presidents Gerald Ford and Jimmy
\nCarter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a second group of facts having to do with the cover up,\u201d
\ncontinued Col. Bowman. \u201cTaken together these things prove that
\nhigh levels of our government don\u2019t want us to know what happened
\nand who\u2019s responsible. Who gained from 9\/11? Who covered up
\ncrucial information about 9\/11? And who put out the patently false
\nstories about 9\/11 in the first place? When you take those three
\nthings together, I think the case is pretty clear that it\u2019s highly placed
\nindividuals in the administration with all roads passing through Dick
\nCheney.\u201d<\/p>\n

Regarding the failure of NORAD to intercept the four hijacked planes on 9\/11, Col. Bowman said,
\n\u201cI’m an old interceptor pilot. I know the drill. I’ve done it. I know how long it takes. I know the
\nrules. \u2026 Critics of the government story on 9\/11 have said: \u2018Well, they knew about this, and they
\ndid nothing\u2019. That’s not true. If our government had done nothing that day and let normal
\nprocedure be followed, those planes, wherever they were, would have been intercepted, the Twin
\nTowers would still be standing and thousands of dead Americans would still be alive.\u201d [2]<\/p>\n

During his 22-year Air Force career, Col. Bowman also served as the Head of the Department of
\nAeronautical Engineering and Assistant Dean at the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. He
\nalso flew over 100 combat missions in Viet Nam as a fighter pilot.<\/p>\n

Lt. Jeff Dahlstrom<\/p>\n

Former U.S. Air Force pilot Lt. Jeff Dahlstrom wrote in a 2007
\nstatement to this author, \u201cWhen 9\/11 occurred I bought the entire
\ngovernment and mainstream media story line. I was a lifelong
\nconservative Republican that voted for Bush\/Cheney, twice.
\nCuriosity about JFK\u2019s death, after a late night TV re-run of Oliver
\nStone\u2019s movie, got me started researching and digging for the truth
\nabout his assassins.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy research led me to a much more important and timely question:
\nthe mystery of what really did happen on 9\/11. Everything that
\nseemed real, turned out to be false. The US government and the
\nnews media, once again, were lying to the world about the real
\nterrorists and the public murder of 2,972 innocents on 9\/11.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe \u2018Patriot Act\u2019 was actually written prior to 9\/11 with the intention of destroying the US
\nConstitution and Bill of Rights. It was passed by Congress, based upon the government’s myth
\nof 9\/11, which was in reality a staged hoax. 9\/11 was scripted and executed by rogue elements
\nof the military, FAA, intelligence, and private contractors working for the US government.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn addition to severely curtailing fundamental rights of Americans, the 9\/11 crime was then used
\nby this administration, the one I originally voted for and supported, to justify waging two
\npreemptive wars (and most likely a third war), killing over 4,500 American soldiers, and killing
\nover one million innocent Afghan and Iraqi people.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was all premeditated. Treason, a false flag military operation, and betrayal of the trust of the
\nAmerican people were committed on 9\/11 by the highest levels of the US government and not
\none person responsible for the crimes, or the cover-up, has been held accountable for the last
\nsix years.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter reading fifteen well-researched books, studying eight or nine DVD documentaries, and
\ndevoting months of personal research and investigation, I have arrived at one ultimate
\nconclusion: The American government and the US Constitution have been hijacked and
\nsubverted by a group of criminals that today are the real terrorists. They are in control of the US
\ngovernment and they have all violated their oaths of office and committed treason against their
\nown citizens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Capt. Daniel Davis<\/p>\n

Capt. Daniel Davis is a former U.S. Army Air Defense Officer and
\nNORAD Tac Director. After his military service, Capt. Davis served for
\n15 years as a Senior Manager at General Electric Turbine (jet) Engine
\nDivision and then devoted an additional 15 years as founder and CEO
\nof Turbine Technology Services Corp., a turbine (jet engine) services
\nand maintenance company.<\/p>\n

In a statement to this author, Capt. Davis wrote, \u201cAs a former General
\nElectric Turbine engineering specialist and manager and then CEO of
\na turbine engineering company, I can guarantee that none of the high
\ntech, high temperature alloy engines on any of the four planes that
\ncrashed on 9\/11 would be completely destroyed, burned, shattered or
\nmelted in any crash or fire. Wrecked, yes, but not destroyed. Where
\nare all of those engines, particularly at the Pentagon? If jet powered
\naircraft crashed on 9\/11, those engines, plus wings and tail assembly,
\nwould be there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Decorated with the Bronze Star and the Soldiers Medal for bravery under fire and the Purple
\nHeart for injuries sustained in Viet Nam, Capt. Davis also served in the Army Air Defense
\nCommand as Nike Missile Battery Control Officer for the Chicago-Milwaukee Defense Area.<\/p>\n

Capt. Davis continued, \u201cAdditionally, in my experience as an officer in NORAD as a Tactical
\nDirector for the Chicago-Milwaukee Air Defense and as a current private pilot, there is no way
\nthat an aircraft on instrument flight plans (all commercial flights are IFR) would not be intercepted
\nwhen they deviate from their flight plan, turn off their transponders, or stop communication with
\nAir Traffic Control. No way! With very bad luck, perhaps one could slip by, but no there’s no way
\nall four of them could!<\/p>\n

\u201cFinally, going over the hill and highway and crashing into the Pentagon right at the wall\/ground
\ninterface is difficult for even a small slow single engine airplane and no way for a 757. Maybe the
\nbest pilot in the world could accomplish that but not these unskilled \u2018terrorists\u2019. Attempts to
\nobscure facts by calling them a \u2018Conspiracy Theory\u2019 does not change the truth. It seems,
\n\u2018Something is rotten in the State\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Major Jon I. Fox is a former U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot and a retired commercial airline pilot
\nfor Continental Airlines with a 35-year commercial aviation career. In 2007, in support of the
\nArchitects and Engineers[3] petition to reinvestigate 9\/11, he wrote, \u201cOn hearing the military<\/p>\n

Commander Ralph Kolstad<\/p>\n

(NORAD\/NEAD) excuses for no intercepts on 9\/11\/2001, I knew from personal experience that
\nthey were lying. I then began re-checking other evidence and found mostly more lies from the
\n\u2018official spokesmen\u2019. Jet fuel fires at atmospheric pressure do not get hot enough to weaken
\nsteel. Structures do not collapse through themselves in free fall time with only gravity as the
\npowering force.\u201d [4]<\/p>\n

Retired U.S. Navy \u2018Top Gun\u2019 pilot Commander Ralph Kolstadstarted questioning the official account of 9\/11 within days of the
\nevent. In a statement to this author, he wrote, \u201cIt just didn\u2019t make any
\nsense to me,\u201d he said. And now six years after 9\/11 he says, \u201cWhen
\none starts using his own mind, and not what one was told, there is
\nvery little to believe in the official story.\u201d [5]<\/p>\n

Commander Kolstad was a top-rated fighter pilot during his 20-year
\nNavy career. Early in his career, he was accorded the honor of being
\nselected to participate in the Navy\u2019s \u2018Top Gun\u2019 air combat school,
\nofficially known as the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School. The Tom
\nCruise movie \u201cTop Gun\u201d reflects the experience of the young Navy
\npilots at the school. Eleven years later, Commander Kolstad was
\nfurther honored by being selected to become a \u2018Top Gun\u2019 adversary
\ninstructor.<\/p>\n

Commander Kolstad had a second career after his 20 years of Navy active and reserve service
\nand served as a commercial airline pilot for 27 years, flying for American Airlines and other
\ndomestic and international careers. He flew Boeing 727, 757 and 767, McDonnell Douglas MD80,
\nand Fokker F-100 airliners. He has flown a total of over 23,000 hours in his career.<\/p>\n

Commander Kolstad is especially critical of the account of American Airlines Flight 77 that
\nallegedly crashed into the Pentagon. He says, \u201cAt the Pentagon, the pilot of the Boeing 757 did
\nquite a feat of flying. I have 6,000 hours of flight time in Boeing 757\u2019s and 767\u2019s and I could not
\nhave flown it the way the flight path was described.\u201d<\/p>\n

Commander Kolstad adds, \u201cI was also a Navy fighter pilot and Air Combat Instructor and have
\nexperience flying low altitude, high speed aircraft. I could not have done what these beginners
\ndid. Something stinks to high heaven!\u201d<\/p>\n

He points to the physical evidence at the Pentagon impact site and asks in exasperation, \u201cWhere<\/p>\n

is the damage to the wall of the Pentagon from the wings? Where are the big pieces that always
\nbreak away in an accident? Where is all the luggage? Where are the miles and miles of wire,
\ncable, and lines that are part and parcel of any large aircraft? Where are the steel engine parts?<\/p>\n

Where is the steel landing gear? Where is the tail section that would have broken into large
\npieces?\u201d<\/p>\n

But no major element of the official account of 9\/11 is spared from Commander Kolstad\u2019s
\ncriticism. Regarding the alleged impact site of United Airlines Flight 93 near Shanksville, PA, he
\nasks, \u201cWhere is any of the wreckage? Of all the pictures I have seen, there is only a hole!<\/p>\n

Where is any piece of a crashed airplane? Why was the area cordoned off, and no inspection
\nallowed by the normal accident personnel? Where is any evidence at all?\u201d<\/p>\n

Commander Kolstad also questions many aspects of the attack on the World Trade Center.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow could a steel and concrete building collapse after being hit by a Boeing 767? Didn\u2019t the
\nengineers design it to withstand a direct hit from a Boeing 707, approximately the same size and
\nweight of the 767? The evidence just doesn\u2019t add up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy did the second building collapse before the first one, which had been burning for 20
\nminutes longer after a direct hit, especially when the second one hit was just a glancing blow? If
\nthe fire was so hot, then why were people looking out the windows [6] and in the destroyed
\nareas? Why have so many members of the New York Fire Department reported seeing or
\nhearing many \u2018explosions\u2019 before the buildings collapsed?\u201d<\/p>\n

Commander Kolstad summarized his frustration with the investigation and disbelief of the official
\naccount of 9\/11, \u201cIf one were to act as an accident investigator, one would look at the evidence,
\nand then construct a plausible scenario as to what led to the accident. In this case, we were told
\nthe story and then the evidence was built to support the story. What happened to any intelligent
\ninvestigation? Every question leads to another question that has not been answered by anyone
\nin authority. This is just the beginning as to why I don\u2019t believe the official \u2018story\u2019 and why I want
\nthe truth to be told.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski<\/p>\n

A Pentagon eye-witness and a former member of the staff of the
\nDirector of the National Security Agency, Lt. Col. Karen
\nKwiatkowski, PhD, U.S. Air Force (ret), is a severe critic of the
\nofficial account of 9\/11. A contributing author to the 2006 book 9\/11
\nand American Empire: Intellectuals Speak Out, she wrote, \u201cI believe
\nthe [9\/11] Commission failed to deeply examine the topic at hand,
\nfailed to apply scientific rigor to its assessment of events leading up
\nto and including 9\/11, failed to produce a believable and unbiased
\nsummary of what happened, failed to fully examine why it happened,
\nand even failed to include a set of unanswered questions for future
\nresearch.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cIt is as a scientist that I have the most trouble with
\nthe official government conspiracy theory, mainly because it does not
\nsatisfy the rules of probability or physics. The collapses of the World
\nTrade Center buildings clearly violate the laws of probability and
\nphysics.\u201d<\/p>\n

Col. Kwiatkowski was working in the Pentagon on 9\/11 in her capacity as Political-Military Affairs
\nOfficer in the Office of the Secretary of Defense when Flight 77 allegedly hit the Pentagon. She
\nwrote, \u201cThere was a dearth of visible debris on the relatively unmarked lawn, where I stood only
\nminutes after the impact. Beyond this strange absence of airliner debris, there was no sign of
\nthe kind of damage to the Pentagon structure one would expect from the impact of a large
\nairliner. This visible evidence or lack thereof may also have been apparent to the Secretary of
\nDefense [Donald Rumsfeld], who in an unfortunate slip of the tongue referred to the aircraft that
\nslammed into the Pentagon as a \u2018missile.\u2019 [7] [Secretary Rumsfeld also publicly referred to Flight
\n93 as the plane that was “shot down” over Pennsylvania.[8] ]<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw nothing of significance at the point of impact – no airplane metal or cargo debris was
\nblowing on the lawn in front of the damaged building as smoke billowed from within the
\nPentagon. … [A]ll of us staring at the Pentagon that morning were indeed looking for such debris,
\nbut what we expected to see was not evident.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe same is true with regard to the kind of damage we expected. … But I did not see this kind of
\ndamage. Rather, the facade had a rather small hole, no larger than 20 feet in diameter. Although
\nthis facade later collapsed, it remained standing for 30 or 40 minutes, with the roof line remaining
\nrelatively straight.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe scene, in short, was not what I would have expected from a strike by a large jetliner. It was,
\nhowever, exactly what one would expect if a missile had struck the Pentagon. … More
\ninformation is certainly needed regarding the events of 9\/11 and the events leading up to that
\nterrible day.\u201d<\/p>\n

The improbability of the collapse of World Trade Center Building 7 is a major concern of these
\nofficers and a growing number of scientists, engineers and architects. The building was 610 feet
\ntall, 47 stories, and would have been the tallest building in 33 states. Although it was not hit by
\nan airplane, it completely collapsed into a pile of rubble in less than 7 seconds at 5:20 p.m. on
\n9\/11. In the 6 years since 9\/11, the Federal government has failed to provide any explanation for
\nthe collapse. In addition to the failure to provide an explanation, absolutely no mention of
\nBuilding 7\u2019s collapse appears in the 9\/11 Commission’s \u201cfull and complete account of the
\ncircumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.\u201d [Video of the collapse can

Lt. Col. Shelton Lankford, U.S. Marine Corps (ret), an attack pilot
\nwith over 300 combat missions, wrote in 2007 to the Michigan
\nDaily,[9] \u201cOur government has been hijacked by means of a \u2018new
\nPearl Harbor\u2019 and a lot of otherwise good and decent people who are
\ngullible enough to think that the first three steel-framed buildings in
\nhistory fall down because they have some fires that the fire fighter on
\nthe scene said could be knocked down with a couple of hoses and
\nthrough which people walked before they were photographed looking
\nout the holes [10] where the plane hit. One of these, Building 7, was
\nnever hit by a plane and even NIST is ashamed to advance a reason
\nfor its collapse. And, miracle of miracles, these three buildings just
\nhappened to be leased and insured by the same guy who is on tape<\/p>\n

[11] saying they decided to \u2018PULL\u2019 the last one to fall.\u201d
\nDuring his 20 year military career, Col. Lankford’s decorations include the Distinguished Flying
\nCross, and 32 awards of the Air Medal.<\/p>\n

In a statement to this author, Col. Lankford wrote, \u201cSeptember 11, 2001 seems destined to be the
\nwatershed event of our lives and the greatest test for our democracy in our lifetimes. The
\nevidence of government complicity in the lead-up to the events, the failure to respond during the
\nevent, and the astounding lack of any meaningful investigation afterwards, as well as the
\nignoring of evidence turned up by others that renders the official explanation impossible, may
\nsignal the end of the American experiment. It has been used to justify all manners of measures
\nto legalize repression at home and as a pretext for behaving as an aggressive empire abroad.<\/p>\n

Until we demand an independent, honest, and thorough investigation and accountability for<\/p>\n

Lt. Col. Shelton Lankford<\/p>\n

Lt. Col. Jeff Latas<\/p>\n

those whose action and inaction led to those events and the cover-up, our republic and our
\nConstitution remain in the gravest danger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another harsh critic of the official account of 9\/11 is Lt. Col. Jeff
\nLatas, U.S. Air Force (ret). A former combat fighter pilot, Col. Latas
\nis currently a commercial airline pilot.<\/p>\n

Col. Latas is a member of Pilots for 9\/11 Truth. In 2007 he was
\ninterviewed by the group\u2019s founder, commercial airline pilot, Rob
\nBalsamo,[12] regarding the group\u2019s documentary video, Pandora’s
\nBlack Box, Chapter 2, Flight of American 77, [13] which focuses on
\nthe 9\/11 Commission’s account of the impact of Flight 77 at the
\nPentagon and discrepancies with the data from the Flight Data
\nRecorder alleged by the NTSB to be from Flight 77.<\/p>\n

In the interview, Col. Latas said, \u201cAfter I did my own analysis of it, it’s obvious that there’s
\ndiscrepancies between the two stories; between the 9\/11 Commission and the flight data
\nrecorder information. And I think that’s where we really need to focus a lot of our attention to get
\nthe help that we need in order to put pressure on government agencies to actually do a real
\ninvestigation of 9\/11. And not just from a security standpoint, but from even an aviation
\nstandpoint, like any accident investigation would actually help the aviators out by finding reasons
\nfor things happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

A highly decorated fighter pilot, Col. Latas was awarded the Distinguish Flying Cross for
\nHeroism, four Air Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, and nine Aerial Achievement Medals.
\nHis combat experience includes Desert Storm and four tours of duty in Northern and Southern
\nWatch. During his 20-year Air Force career, he also served as Pentagon Weapons Requirement
\nOfficer, as a member of the Pentagon’s Quadrennial Defense Review, and as President, U.S. Air
\nForce Accident Investigation Board.<\/p>\n

Col. Latas concluded, \u201cAnd I think that we Americans need to demand further investigation just to
\nclarify the discrepancies that you’ve [Pilots for 9\/11 Truth] found. And I think that we need to be
\ngetting on the phone with our Congressmen and women and letting them know that we don’t
\naccept the excuses that we’re hearing now, that we want true investigators to do a true
\ninvestigation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Capt. Eric H. May<\/p>\n

Commander Ted Muga<\/p>\n

Capt. Eric H. May, U.S. Army (ret), is a former Army Intelligence
\nOfficer who also served as an inspector and interpreter for the
\nIntermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty team. He is one of many signers
\nof a petition [14] requesting a reinvestigation of 9\/11. In 2005, he
\nwrote: \u201cAs a former Army officer, my tendency immediately after 911
\nwas to rally ’round the colors and defend the country against what
\nI then thought was an insidious, malicious all-Arab entity called Al-
\nQaida. In fact, in April of 2002, I attempted to reactivate my then-
\nretired commission to return to serve my country in its time of peril. …<\/p>\n

Now I view the 911 event as Professor David Griffin, author of The
\nNew Pearl Harbor, views it: as a matter that implies either<\/p>\n

A) passive participation by the Bush White House through a
\ndeliberate stand-down of proper defense procedures that (if followed)
\nwould have led US air assets to a quick identification and
\nconfrontation of the passenger aircraft that impacted WTC 1 and
\nWTC 2, or worse …<\/p>\n

B) active execution of a plot by rogue elements of government,
\nstarting with the White House itself, in creating a spectacle of
\ndestruction that would lead the United States into an invasion of the
\nMiddle East …\u201d [15]<\/p>\n

Commander Ted Muga, U.S. Navy (ret), is a Navy aviator, who,
\nafter retirement, had a second career as a commercial airline pilot for
\nPan-Am.<\/p>\n

In a 2007 interview on the Alex Jones Show, [16] Commander Muga
\nstated, \u201cThe maneuver at the Pentagon was just a tight spiral coming
\ndown out of 7,000 feet. And a commercial aircraft, while they can in
\nfact structurally somewhat handle that maneuver, they are very, very,
\nvery difficult. And it would take considerable training. In other words,
\ncommercial aircraft are designed for a particular purpose and that is
\nfor comfort and for passengers and it’s not for military maneuvers.
\nAnd while they are structurally capable of doing them, it takes some
\nvery, very talented pilots to do that. … I just can’t imagine an
\namateur even being able to come close to performing a maneuver of<\/p>\n

that nature.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd as far as hijacking the airplanes, once again getting back to the nature of pilots and
\nairplanes, there is no way that a pilot would give up an airplane to hijackers. … I mean, hell, a
\nguy doesn’t give up a TV remote control much less a complicated 757. And so to think that pilots
\nwould allow a plane to be taken over by a couple of 5 foot 7, 150 pound guys with a one-inch
\nblade boxcutter is ridiculous.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd also in all four planes, if you remember, none of the planes ever switched on their
\ntransponder to the hijack code. There’s a very, very simple code that you put in if you suspect
\nthat your plane is being hijacked. It takes literally just a split-second for you to put your hand
\ndown on the center console and flip it over. And not one of the four planes ever transponded a
\nhijack code, which is most, most unusual. …<\/p>\n

\u201cCommercial airplanes are very, very complex pieces of machines. And they’re designed for two
\npilots up there, not just two amateur pilots, but two qualified commercial pilots up there. And to
\nthink that you’re going to get an amateur up into the cockpit and fly, much less navigate, it to a
\ndesignated target, the probability is so low, that it’s bordering on impossible.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn all my years of direct and indirect participation, I never witnessed
\nnor even heard of an aircraft loss, where the wreckage was
\naccessible, that prevented investigators from finding enough hard
\nevidence to positively identify the make, model, and specific
\nregistration number of the aircraft — and in most cases the precise
\ncause of the accident,\u201d wrote Col. George Nelson, MBA, U.S. Air
\nForce (ret), a former U.S. Air Force aircraft accident investigator and
\nairplane parts authority. [17]<\/p>\n

\u201cThe government alleges that four wide-body airliners crashed on the
\nmorning of September 11 2001, resulting in the deaths of more than
\n3,000 human beings, yet not one piece of hard aircraft evidence has
\nbeen produced in an attempt to positively identify any of the four
\naircraft. On the contrary, it seems only that all potential evidence was
\ndeliberately kept hidden from public view,\u201d continued Col. Nelson, a
\ngraduate of the U.S. Air Force War College and a 34-year Air Force
\nveteran.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith all the evidence readily available at the Pentagon crash site, any unbiased rational
\ninvestigator could only conclude that a Boeing 757 did not fly into the Pentagon as alleged.
\nSimilarly, with all the evidence available at the Pennsylvania crash site, it was most doubtful that<\/p>\n

a passenger airliner caused the obvious hole in the ground and certainly not the Boeing 757 as
\nalleged. \u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cAs painful and heartbreaking as was the loss of innocent lives and the lingering health problems
\nof thousands more, a most troublesome and nightmarish probability remains that so many
\nAmericans appear to be involved in the most heinous conspiracy in our country’s history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Maj. John M. Newman, PhD<\/p>\n

Maj. John M. Newman, PhD, U.S. Army (ret), is the former
\nExecutive Assistant to the Director of the National Security Agency.
\nIn testimony before a 2005 Congressional briefing, he said, \u201cIt falls
\nto me this morning to bring to your attention the story of Saeed
\nSheikh, whose full name is Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, and his
\nastonishing rise to power in Al Qaeda, his crucial role in 9\/11, which
\nis completely, utterly, missing from the 9\/11 Commission report\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 9\/11 Commission which studied US intelligence and law
\nenforcement community performance in great detail, (maybe not so
\nmuch great detail, but they did), neglected to cover the community\u2019
\nperformance during the weeks following the attacks to determine
\nwho was responsible for them, not a word about that in the Report.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Report does discuss the immediate US responses but the
\nimmediate investigation is never addressed, and anyone who has
\nclosely studied the post-9\/11 investigation knows that the first
\nbreakthrough came two weeks into the investigation when the
\nmoney transfers from the United Arab Emirates to the hijackers
\nwere uncovered.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurthermore, if you have studied that investigation, you know there
\nis no disputing that while investigators may have struggled with the
\nidentity of the paymaster, they were clear about one thing, he was
\nAl Qaeda\u2019s finance chief. For this reason alone you have to ask
\nwhy the 9\/11 Commission Report never mentions the finance chief\u2019
\nrole as the 9\/11 paymaster.\u201d [18]<\/p>\n

Capt. Omar Pradhan, U.S. Air Force, is a former AWACS<\/p>\n

Capt. Omar Pradhan<\/p>\n

command pilot and Flight Instructor at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
\nIn a 2007 statement to this author, Capt. Pradhan wrote, \u201cAs a
\nproud American, as a distinguished USAF E-3 AWACS Aircraft
\nCommander (with 350+ hours of combat time logged over
\nAfghanistan and Iraq), and as a former U.S. Air Force Academy
\nFlight Instructor, I warmly endorse the professional inquiry and
\npursuit of comprehensive truth sought by the Pilots for 911 Truth
\norganization and the PatriotsQuestion911 website.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another senior officer questioning the official account of 9\/11 is Col.
\nRonald D. Ray, U.S. Marine Corps (ret), Deputy Assistant
\nSecretary of Defense under President Ronald Reagan. A highly
\ndecorated Vietnam veteran (two Silver Stars, a Bronze Star and a
\nPurple Heart), he was appointed by President George H. W. Bush
\nto serve on the American Battle Monuments Commission (1990 \u2013
\n1994), and the 1992 Presidential Commission on the Assignment of
\nWomen in the Armed Forces. He was Military Historian and Deputy
\nDirector of Field Operations for the U.S. Marine Corps Historical
\nCenter, Washington, D.C. (1990 \u2013 1994).<\/p>\n

In an interview on Alex Jones\u2019 radio show on June 30, 2006 [19],
\nCol. Ray described the official account of 9\/11 as \u201cthe dog that
\ndoesn\u2019t hunt\u201d, meaning it doesn\u2019t stand up to scrutiny. In response
\nto Alex Jones\u2019 question, \u201cIs it safe to say or is the statement
\naccurate that you smell something rotten in the state of Denmark
\nwhen it comes to 9\/11?\u201d Col. Ray replied,\u201cI’m astounded that the
\nconspiracy theory advanced by the administration could in fact be
\ntrue and the evidence does not seem to suggest that that’s
\naccurate. That’s true.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter 4+ years of research since retirement in 2002, I am 100% convinced that the attacks of
\nSeptember 11, 2001 were planned, organized, and committed by treasonous perpetrators that
\nhave infiltrated the highest levels of our government. It is now time to take our country back,\u201d
\nwrote Lt. Col. Guy S. Razer, MS, U.S. Air Force (ret), in a statement to this author.<\/p>\n

Col. Ronald D. Ray<\/p>\n

A retired fighter pilot, Col. Razer served as an instructor at the U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons
\nSchool and NATO\u2019s Tactical Leadership Program and flew combat missions over Iraq. He
\ncontinued, \u201cThe \u2018collapse\u2019 of WTC Building 7 shows beyond any doubt that the demolitions were
\npre-planned. There is simply no way to demolish a 47-story building (on fire) over a coffee
\nbreak. It is also impossible to report the building\u2019s collapse before it happened, as BBC News
\ndid,[20] unless it was pre-planned. Further damning evidence is Larry Silverstein’s video taped
\nconfession in which he states \u2018they made that decision to pull [WTC 7] and we watched the
\nbuilding collapse.\u2019[21]<\/p>\n

\u201cWe cannot let the pursuit of justice fail. Those of us in the military took an oath to \u2018support and
\ndefend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic\u2019. Just
\nbecause we have retired does not make that oath invalid, so it is not just our responsibility, it is
\nour duty to expose the real perpetrators of 9\/11 and bring them to justice, no matter how hard it
\nis, how long it takes, or how much we have to suffer to do it,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n

Maj. Scott Ritter, U.S. Marine Corps, is a former Marine Corps
\nIntelligence Officer who also served as Chief Weapons Inspector for
\nthe United Nations Special Commission in Iraq 1991 – 1998. In 2005,
\nhe said: \u201cI, like the others, are frustrated by the 9\/11 Commission
\nReport, by the lack of transparency on the part of the United States
\ngovernment, both in terms of the executive branch and the legislative
\nbranch when it comes to putting out on the table all facts known to
\nthe 9\/11 case.\u201d [22]<\/p>\n

Maj. Douglas Rokke, PhD, U.S. Army (ret), former Director of the<\/p>\n

U.S. Army Depleted Uranium Project and 30-year veteran, had this to
\nsay about the explosion at the Pentagon on 9\/11, \u201cWhen you look at
\nthe whole thing, especially the crash site void of airplane parts, the
\nsize of the hole left in the building and the fact the projectile’s impact
\npenetrated numerous concrete walls, it looks like the work of a
\nmissile. And when you look at the damage, it was obviously a
\nmissile.\u201d [23]
\nThe 9\/11 Commission Report asserts that only three of the alleged
\nhijackers were known to U.S. intelligence agencies prior to 9\/11:
\nNawaf al-Hazmi, Salem al-Hazmi, and Khalid al-Mihdar. There is no
\nmention in the Report that the names and photographs of alleged<\/p>\n

Maj. Scott Ritter<\/p>\n

hijacker Marwan al-Shehhi and alleged ring-leader Mohamed Atta
\nhad been identified by the Department of Defense anti-terrorist
\nprogram known as Able Danger more than a year prior to 9\/11 and
\nthat they were known to be affiliates of al-Qaida. Able Danger also
\nidentified Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdar.<\/p>\n

In testimony before the House Armed Services Committee in 2006
\n[24], Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer, U.S. Army Reserve, former Chief of
\nthe Army\u2019s Controlled HUMINT (Human Intelligence) Program,
\noverseeing Army Intelligence and Security Command\u2019s global
\ncontrolled HUMINT efforts, stated: \u201c[B]asic law enforcement
\ninvestigative techniques, with 21st Century data mining and analytical
\ntools … resulted in the establishment of a new form of intelligence
\ncollection \u2013 and the identification of Mohammed Atta and several
\nother of the 9-11 terrorists as having links to Al Qaeda leadership a
\nfull year in advance of the attacks. …<\/p>\n

Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter contact by two separate members of the ABLE DANGER team,
\n\u2026 the 9-11 [Commission] staff refused to perform any in-depth review
\nor investigation of the issues that were identified to them. \u2026 It was
\ntheir job to do a thorough investigation of these claims \u2013 to not simply
\ndismiss them based on what many now believe was a \u2018preconceived
\nconclusion to the 9-11 story they wished to tell. \u2026 I consider this a
\nfailure of the 9-11 staff \u2013 a failure that the 9-11 Commissioners
\nthemselves were victimized by \u2013 and continue to have perpetrated on
\nthem by the staff as is evidenced by their recent, groundless
\nconclusion that ABLE DANGER\u2019s findings were \u2018urban legend\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

A 23-year military intelligence veteran, Col. Shaffer was recently awarded the Bronze Star for
\nbravery in Afghanistan. In a 2005 interview on Fox News, Col Shaffer asked, \u201cWhy did this
\noperation, which was created in ’99 to target Al Qaeda globally, offensively, why was that turned
\noff in the Spring of 2001, four months before we were attacked? I can’t answer that, either. I can
\ntell you I was ordered out of the operation directly by a two-star general.\u201d [25]<\/p>\n

Supporting Col. Shaffer\u2019s statement, Capt. Scott J. Phillpott, U.S. Navy, currently Commanding<\/p>\n

Officer of the guided-missile cruiser USS Leyte Gulf and former head of the Able Danger data
\nmining program, stated in 2005: \u201cI will not discuss this outside of my chain of command. I have
\nbriefed the Department of the Army, the Special Operations Command and the office of
\n(Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence) Dr. Cambone as well as the 9\/11 Commission. My
\nstory has remained consistent. Atta was identified by Able Danger in January\/February 2000.\u201d<\/p>\n

[26] Capt. Phillpott is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, who during his 23 years of Navy service
\nhas been awarded the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, three Meritorious
\nService Medals, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, two Navy Commendation Medals, and
\nthe Navy Achievement Medal.
\nFormer U.S. Marine Corps fighter pilot Joel M. Skousen also
\nquestions the official account of 9\/11. After his military service, Mr.
\nSkousen served as Chairman of the Conservative National
\nCommittee in Washington DC and Executive Editor of Conservative
\nDigest.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the March 2005 issue, PM [Popular Mechanics] magazine singled
\nout 16 issues or claims of the 9\/11 skeptics that point to government
\ncollusion and systematically attempted to debunk each one. Of the
\n16, most missed the mark and almost half were straw men
\narguments – either ridiculous arguments that few conspiracists
\nbelieved or restatements of the arguments that were highly distorted
\nso as to make them look weaker than they really were. …<\/p>\n

\u201cI am one of those who claim there are factual arguments pointing to
\nconspiracy, and that truth is not served by taking cheap shots at
\nthose who see gaping flaws in the government story … There is
\nsignificant evidence that the aircraft impacts did not cause the
\ncollapse [of the Twin Towers] …<\/p>\n

The issues of the penetration hole [at the Pentagon] and the lack of
\nlarge pieces of debris simply do not jive with the official story, but the
\nare explainable if you include the parking lot video evidence that
\nshows a huge white explosion at impact. This cannot happen with an
\naircraft laden only with fuel. It can only happen in the presence of
\nhigh explosives.\u201d [27]<\/p>\n

Joel Skousen<\/p>\n

Major General Albert Stubblebine, U.S. Army (ret), former
\nCommanding General of U.S. Army Intelligence and Security
\nCommand (INSCOM), is a strong critic of the official account of 9\/11.
\nIn a 2006 video documentary he said, \u201cOne of my experiences in the
\nArmy was being in charge of the Army\u2019s Imagery Interpretation for
\nScientific and Technical Intelligence during the Cold War. I measured
\npieces of Soviet equipment from photographs. It was my job. I look
\nat the hole in the Pentagon and I look at the size of an airplane that
\nwas supposed to have hit the Pentagon. And I said, \u2018The plane does
\nnot fit in that hole\u2019. So what did hit the Pentagon? What hit it?<\/p>\n

Where is it? What’s going on?\u201d [28]<\/p>\n

During his 32-year Army career, Gen. Stubblebine also commanded
\nthe U.S. Army\u2019s Electronic Research and Development Command
\nand the U.S. Army\u2019s Intelligence School and Center. Gen.
\nStubblebine is one of the inductees into the Military Intelligence Hall
\nof Fame. [29]<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a well-organized cover-up of the events of 11 Sep 2001. The 9\/11 Commission was a
\nwhite-washed farce. There is evidence that US Government officials had advance knowledge of
\nand are probably implicated in the events of 9\/11,\u201d wrote retired military physician, Col. James R.
\nUhl, MD, U.S. Army (ret), in a statement to this author.<\/p>\n

\u201cA huge body of physical evidence has been ignored, suppressed, and ridiculed by the media
\nand by our Government. Why did WTC 7 collapse? It was never hit by an airplane and was
\napparently brought down by explosives. How could Al-Qaida terrorists have had access and
\ntime to plant bombs in a top secret installation? Why did the 9\/11 Commission fail to seek the
\nreason for the WTC 7 collapse?\u201d continued Col. Uhl, a 38-year Army veteran, who served in
\nseveral theaters of operations, from Viet Nam through Iraq.<\/p>\n

Gen. Albert Stubblebine<\/p>\n

Capt. Russ Wittenberg<\/p>\n

Capt. Russ Wittenberg, U.S. Air Force, is a former U.S. Air
\nForce fighter pilot with over 100 combat missions and a
\nretired commercial pilot, who flew for Pan Am and United
\nAirlines for 35 years.<\/p>\n

According to Capt. Wittenberg, \u201cThe government story they
\nhanded us about 9\/11 is total B.S., plain and simple.\u201d[30]<\/p>\n

In the 2007 documentary video, 9\/11 Ripple Effect,[31] he
\nsaid \u201cI flew the two actual aircraft which were involved in 9\/11;
\nthe Fight number 175 and Flight 93, the 757 that allegedly
\nwent down in Shanksville and Flight 175 is the aircraft that’s
\nalleged to have hit the South Tower.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don’t believe it’s possible for, like I said, for a terrorist, a so-called terrorist, to train on a
\n[Cessna] 172, then jump in a cockpit of a 757-767 class cockpit, and vertical navigate the
\naircraft, lateral navigate the aircraft, and fly the airplane at speeds exceeding its design limit
\nspeed by well over 100 knots, make high-speed high-banked turns, exceeding — pulling probably
\n5, 6, 7 G’s. And the aircraft would literally fall out of the sky. I couldn’t do it and I’m absolutely
\npositive they couldn’t do it.\u201d [32]<\/p>\n

Regarding Flight 77, which allegedly hit the Pentagon, Capt. Wittenberg said, \u201dThe airplane could
\nnot have flown at those speeds which they said it did without going into what they call a high
\nspeed stall. The airplane won\u2019t go that fast if you start pulling those high G maneuvers at those
\nbank angles. \u2026 To expect this alleged airplane to run these maneuvers with a total amateur at
\nthe controls is simply ludicrous … It\u2019s roughly a 100 ton airplane. And an airplane that weighs
\n100 tons all assembled is still going to have 100 tons of disassembled trash and parts after it hits
\na building. There was no wreckage from a 757 at the Pentagon. \u2026 The vehicle that hit the
\nPentagon was not Flight 77. We think, as you may have heard before, it was a cruise
\nmissile.\u201d[33]<\/p>\n

Col. Ann Wright<\/p>\n

Another senior officer questioning the official account of 9\/11 is Col.
\nAnn Wright, U.S. Army (ret), who said in a 2007 interview with
\nRichard Greene on the Air America Radio Network, \u201cIt’s incredible
\nsome of these things that still are unanswered. The 9\/11 Report -that
\nwas totally inadequate. I mean the questions that anybody has
\nafter reading that.\u201d [34]<\/p>\n

Col. Wright is one of three U.S. State Department officials to
\npublicly resign in direct protest of the invasion of Iraq in March,
\n2003. She served for 13 years on active duty and 16 additional
\nyears on reserve duty in the U.S. Army. She joined the Foreign
\nService in 1987 and served for 16 years as a U.S. Diplomat. She
\nserved as Deputy Chief of Mission of U.S. Embassies in Sierra
\nLeone, Micronesia and Afghanistan and she helped reopen the<\/p>\n

U.S. Embassy in Kabul in December, 2001.
\nShe continued in her interview: \u201cHow could our national intelligence
\nand defense operations be so inept that they could not
\ncommunicate; that they could not scramble jets; that they could not
\ntake defensive action? And I totally agree. I always thought the
\nPentagon had all sorts of air defense sort of equipment around it;
\nthat they could take out anything that was coming at it. And for a
\nplane to be able to just fly low right over Washington and slam into
\nthat thing is just — I mean, you still just shake your head. How in
\nthe world could that happen?\u201d<\/p>\n

Capt. Gregory M. Zeigler, PhD, is a former U.S. Army Intelligence
\nOfficer. In a 2006 statement to this author, Capt. Zeigler wrote, \u201cI
\nknew from September 18, 2001, that the official story about 9\/11
\nwas false. That was when I realized that the perpetrators had
\nmade a colossal blunder in collapsing the South Tower first, rather
\nthan the North Tower, which had been hit more directly and earlier.<\/p>\n

\u201cOther anomalies poured in rapidly: the hijackers’ names appearing
\nin none of the published flight passenger lists, BBC reports of
\nstolen identities of the alleged hijackers or the alleged hijackers
\nbeing found alive, the obvious demolitions of WTC 1 and 2 and<\/p>\n

Capt. Gregory Zeigler<\/p>\n

WTC 7, the lack of identifiable Boeing 757 wreckage at the
\nPentagon, the impossibility of ordinary cell phone (as opposed to
\nAirfone) calls being made consistently from passenger aircraft at
\ncruising altitude, etc., etc., etc.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after the release of the 9\/11 Commission Report, a group of over 100 prominent
\nAmericans signed a petition [35] urging Congress to immediately reinvestigate 9\/11. In addition
\nto two former senior CIA officials [36] and several U.S. State Department veterans, [37] the
\nsigners included Lt. Col. Robert Bowman and Capt. Eric H. May, both mentioned above.<\/p>\n

The petition stated, in part, \u201cWe want truthful answers to questions such as:<\/p>\n

1. Why were standard operating procedures for dealing with hijacked airliners not followed that
\nday?
\n2. Why were the extensive missile batteries and air defenses reportedly deployed around the
\nPentagon not activated during the attack?
\n3. Why did the Secret Service allow Bush to complete his elementary school visit, apparently
\nunconcerned about his safety or that of the schoolchildren?
\n4. Why hasn’t a single person been fired, penalized, or reprimanded for the gross
\nincompetence we witnessed that day?<\/p>\n

5. Why haven’t authorities in the U.S. and abroad published the results of multiple
\ninvestigations into trading that strongly suggested foreknowledge of specific details of the 9\/11
\nattacks, resulting in tens of millions of dollars of traceable gains?\u201d
\nThese questions and many others still remain unanswered three years after the petition was
\nsubmitted and six years after the terrible events of 9\/11. As the statements of these twenty-five
\nformer U.S. military officers demonstrate, the need for a new thorough, and independent
\ninvestigation of 9\/11 is not a matter of partisan politics, nor the demand of irresponsible,
\nderanged, or disloyal Americans. It is instead a matter of the utmost importance for America\u2019s
\nsecurity and the future of the entire world.<\/p>\n
